about
‘Foreboding’ is the third track from Chiasmata’s forthcoming release. In light of the tonal dissonance of the concept and composition of previous single ‘Absolution’, there is something uncomfortable about ‘Foreboding’ from the outset; there is no mistaking that this is the catharsis of a band wearing its heart on its sleeve. Much more direct in its approach to the difficult subject matter that it shares with some of the band’s other offerings, this track pulls no punches as it explores the depths of personal conflict while further cementing the band’s vision.
lyrics
You taste it in the sound, sanctimonious slur.
They ground you; they plant you.
Effervescent elixir enheightens exertion
Corrosion, confusion, conflicting emotions
Segregated, suffocated, harmony
Forgotten famished screams
Omnipotent, omniscient, beleaguered leader
Repression, neglect, he too will die like us
Forgotten famished screams
I put the I in my own society
Entropy, monotony, fabricate, emasculate
Corporeality, moulded by society
Anarchy, autonomy, Liberate, initiate
Ephemerality, entelechy breeds.
Death is the ambience, destruction calms my conscience
Bounded fuelled by anger, bounded
Accept the termination, bleeding for oppression,
I die by my own hands
I die by my own hands
I die by my
Oh, oh, I don’t live for others.
Weaving a romance of a life that was and is.
Winding the fibres tied, forebode this final cadence
Step inside, come inside, step inside. Step inside come inside. Step inside, come inside, step inside.
Step inside the brink, question what is real, cacophonous creations coincide.
Step into the brink, question what is real, euphony is existing. Step into the brink, question what is real, cacophony creating euphonious extinction
Step inside away.
